The 14th JCB World Conference Held in Bali

October 23 2015, Tokyo: JCB Co., Ltd. (JCB), the only global payment brand based in Japan, and JCB International Co., Ltd. (JCBI), international operations subsidiary, today announce that the 14th JCB World Conference was held in Bali, Indonesia, from 21 to 22 October 2015. Approximately 510 people from about 200 partner companies and financial institutions in 32 countries and territories participated in the conference.
JCB World Conference is a biennial event held since 1988 to share JCB strategy and strengthen relationships with JCB partners all over the world. The theme of the conference for 2015 is “JCB - Connecting with partners to create new value.” This theme reflects JCB's commitment to work closely with our partners in hopes of creating new value and working toward the new frontier of the fast-growing global payment industry. JCB introduced business updates and future strategy from Ichiro Hamakawa, President & CEO of JCB, Japan business strategy from Yasuhiro Maeda, Board Member Senior Executive Officer of JCB, and international business strategy from Koremitsu Sannomiya, President & COO of JCBI.
The keynote address was given by Ronald Waas, Deputy Governor, Bank Indonesia. Other speakers from JCB's valued partner corporations representing various regions included Rakuten Card Co., Ltd. from Japan, Bank of China from China, card complete Service Bank AG from Austria, and PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk from Indonesia. JCB also welcomed a speaker from NFC Forum.
Ichiro Hamakawa, President of JCB said, “It is a great honor to have our partners here in Bali from around the world. I am happy that we were able to share our strategy with our partners as well as demonstrate our wide acceptance and promotions here in Bali. I am sure this will be a big step for us to further strengthen our ties with our partners.” |
