JCB Plaza Call Center Provides Free Travel Support in Multiple Languages

Tokyo, 28 August 2012 - JCB International (JCBI), the international operations subsidiary of JCB, the only global payment brand based in Japan, today announced that it started the JCB Plaza Call Center to provide free travel support in multiple languages.
■JCB Plaza Call Center
・All JCB cardmembers are eligible to receive services.
・Services provided in English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
・Open 24/7.
・Services available before and after departure:
→Travel related support, including hotel, restaurant, car rental reservations and show tickets at your destination.
・Services available at the destination (outside home country):
→Lost/ stolen card support.
→Other emergency support, for example, help finding a local clinic in the event of illness or accident.
・Calls are toll free.
JCB cards are issued around the world in partnership with local banks and other financial institutions. Currently JCB cards are issued in 16 countries and territories with a total of about 77 million JCB cardmembers including 11 million outside Japan, primarily in China, Korea and Taiwan, with growth rates in the double digits over the past five years. To meet the needs of these cardmembers when they travel away from home, JCB is enhancing travel support services, discounts and other special offers by providing JCB Plaza, JCB Plaza Lounge, JCB Shopping and Dining Passport and other services in multiple languages. The JCB Plaza Call Center is one way JCB is providing better service to cardmembers and more brand value to card issuers.
